Pre-exam celebrations
I didn't blog for a week!!
Okay, it's exam period, and I am not in the mood to study as usual. Very sien la...
I realized there's reallie not much time left. It's Thursday today! What have I done??
Anw, Quick jots..
Last Friday, went to have a Fish & Co dinner with Avs. Before that, went to Orchard's Kino to browse around.. I love kino! I wanna earn a lot of money and buy at least 5 books per month. Takashimaya had the usual very huge christmas tree.. and this year, I took my first christmas pic with Avs.
It was the first time I went up to Heeren since they revamped the whole restaurant areas on top. Now, there are waraku, waraku de pasta, fish and co and a few more.. Had my usual new york fish and chips, and Avs had seafood platter for one.
Monday, went back to school to study with Avs. Had breakfast at Mac, and I seriously didn't realize our pic was taken.. (Thanks to ZW XD)
Anw, after the breakfast, went to central lib to photocopy our jlpt2 past year papers.. went on to study until the evenings. And we met Pea, Babe and HL at Thomson to eat steamboat buffet! It was a pre-exam celebration~ XD
Anw, the buffet was not bad, if it had a better ambience and the food is served more efficiently. Seems like all of us will not be going back there anymore.. Kuishinbo and Vienna still rocks. LOL.
After the dinner, HL went home first, and the rest of us walked our way to the Orchard. Christmas decorations are up~! So we took some pics along the way..
Wed, went back to school to study with Avs again, and met up with ZW to have lunch. After that, move on to vivocity to celebrate our first month anniversary~ not exactly first month though, but due to the exams, we shall have an early celebration.

Ready to revise?
I finally finished jap 5, and along with the rest of my lectures and classes. Now is the time to start REVISION!!
I ended my sem with a traumatic oral test. I think I sounded more like a retard than I was speaking jap. So difficult to speak jap with the teacher when you didnt get to practice any conversations in the class at all. Since jap 5 is all about writings and assignments, I don't see why we need an oral test for.

Tuesday, had our last GEK lecture. We ended the class early again, and Al and me took long bus(es) ride from nus to amk. Amk seems very far to me from nus, cos to get to jurong from amk via the train, you need to pass by woodlands first. But, thanks to the SBS, amk is within an hr's distance from nus too! Den what is woodlands?!! Everywhere is hell far, except msia.
Seems like amk is more convenient to Al now. Amk got a lot of things to do, and food to eat. Somemore, it's rather close to central area, going anw can be rather convenient. Finally see Pea for a long long time. We didnt meet up during her recess month. But still, pea is still very color-identifiable as usual.. haha.. on that day, her color was pinkish-red. So envy her, now it's my turn to have hell-exams!
Three of us decided to catch the movie "The Coffin". Had talked about this movie since dunno when, and we finally watch it. Anw, the movie wasn't as bad as the ratings have rated it to be. Maybe I didnt expect too much, that's why. Anw, sleeping in the coffin is definitely a NO-NO to anyone regardless of the religion and beliefs. It's so scary!! and you never know what you're going to see in that darkness. Anw, how the movie was taken in the coffin ah? The actors hold the equipments themselves? Eeyerr.. creepy.
After the movie, strolled around a bit and we went to Ichiban to utilise my 30 dollars voucher. We still ate too much, haha, so it's stil like $17 per pax. Anw, i am forever earning stamps from ichiban. When den can I stop having ties with ichiban? XD

Wed, I fell seriously sick. Not flu or whatever, but I just feel sick, and dizzy. That I have to sleep. Cannot skip school, cos I gotta go school for our jap test 2. Jap test 2 was much more difficult than test 1, but I finished earlier than expected. Is this good or bad? =_+
After the test, went to engine to meet Avs. We decided to meet up to have dinner to celebrate our little victories. He got to submit his report and do a presentation for a module, and have his end-term test too on the same day, while I had my jap test. It was raining heavily, so we took train to make our way to Ikea to have dinner.

Got back my most worried assignment of the sem.. The chinese essay of beijing prof..
I didnt get a C! Thank God, Buddha, Sama, etc.
Seems like Facebook is currently the most powerful medium to get to know someone, currently.
Was in the class with BH. We were scribbling on our notebooks when the lesson got boring again.
After a series of nonsensical chatting on the paper, I popped the question.
"Do you know Alv?"
"Your bf ah?"
"How you know?"
"Facebook la."
and he was acting like he don't know anything all this while. lol.
Anw, i was looking forward to the end of the class cos Avs was meeting me to go home together. Go home, as in, take bus 96 to clementi. Cos we live in totally different directions. I hate parting with him at central area.
and Avs surprised me with a gift again!
It was a fruit drink that comes in a very cute panda bottle. The whole packaging was written in Korean, and i couldn't understand anything. Babe i need your help! XD
No pics, cos my cam was away for servicing (Irreversible oil-stained screen).
Really felt so happy and loved these days.

Last week of school is coming again
Week 13 is coming!!
I finished my last assignment yesterday, using my "管他" attitude again. Ha.. I wonder how will I fare for all my assignments this sem. I have been so indifferent about what I had been writing.
This week will be stressful cos I am facing end-term test of jap, and jap oral test. It seemed that most ppl in the class had become rather "native" this sem, cos they had went to Japan for some time, and they all had japan-bought electronic dictionary to help them throughout the course. For someone like me who only learn from textbook and perform below average in class, I am seeing the lower spectrum of the bellcurve.
Still, I need to bear in mind that I am in nus, and there are many ppl who have the ability, yet chose to come here instead of harvard, oxford, etc.. so i shouldn't expect too much..
On Fri, Avs and me went to Meidiya at Liangcourt again. Babe had recommended a very delicious jap dinner set which cost no more than $10 per pax. So, we decided to give it a try~
Waited for Avs to finish his fyp and we made our way there. It was pretty early then, so we were lucky to get ourselves a good seat in that small and cosy stall. Very soon, the whole stall is filled.

Finally wrapped up a module today.. HoCL's sociolinguistics class.. and i still owe him an assignment.. latest due date is this coming wed.. wat can i write? wat can i write??? seriously, no idea....
Next week will be my end-term jap test, and jap oral.. looking back, jap5 is deadly heavy.. but i die will still continue to take jap 6.. it seems that most people in jap5 had went to japan at least once and they had earned themselves with much vocab.. if you only learn from your textbook, you're going to lose out.. i need photographic brain material to help me memorise more vocab, and a spatial analytical power brain to help me arrange these vocab with grammar and make me not stutter when i speak..

Twelve
It's week 12~~~
Inevitable sien-ness sinks in. 2 more weeks and I am going to sit in for the exams and realize how little I have gained in the semester.
Beijing prof finally gave us his "hidden scripts" that he used during lecture. Is that a surprise present for us? Anw, I still will never like him, and I still have to thank him for his generous act. Reading through the stuff made me realize how important understanding a foreign accent is required in school, in order not to miss out important points.
Monday after school, had a nice dinner with Avs at Holland V again, and this time, we ate nasi lemak. We also got some bread from Provenance. Anw, the layout of how the bread are arranged there has changed! It makes me feel like I'm kiap-ing bread from pigeon holes. But anw, I still got my favorite chocolate coronet. :) I love the scene of whole shelves of chocolate coronets.
Strolled abit around Holland V, and we went to Burger king to "blow" air-con. It's a very conducive and cosy place to study. Next time maybe can go there study :D

Tuesday, met up with Al for a brief lunch. Long time nv see him le, and I think he grew tanned again. We are so busy with assignments now... phew...
After the boring guest lecture on acupuncture, I left the LT early as usual to meet up babe at engine for lunch. Babe was dressed up beautifully cos she was going to a korean pop concert with her korean class later on that day~ so i had my fav indonesian food and babe, her fav tomyam soup again XD and then Avs came!!! Brought Avs' bread home accidentally the day before, so we met up again. Introduced Avs to babe and I was amazed to see them converse in korean suddenly. Awhile later, the three of us conversed in jap. We are so multilingual.
Avs shared with me a strawberry and mango juice. Not bad. I think i pissed both of them, cos i kept forgetting what's in the fruit juice. Gomen~* Took some pics with babe's cam~~ ^^

After the lunch, Avs brought us to the pc clusters in engine fac again. and we studied our stuff until babe going for her korean lesson. It was raining heavily..
Moved on to YST music library with Avs and we decided to study there.. Avs did his scarily-complicating-FYP-programming, while I did my revision.. I reallie love the ambience of the music library there. Studied until 6pm and we went home~~

初めて、初めて
Avs brought me to his hometown last Friday for a wonderful dinner cum supper. It was the first time I went to Bedok, ever since I was born in Singapore, lol. Had heard about the very famous Bedok 85 thingy, but never had the chance to try.. and I finally got the chance~
Before we reach Bedok, went to Tampines to window-shop a bit.. I realized it's realli been sometime since i went to the East. The last time i went to tampines was YX's birthday party at aranda? o.O Anw, a lot of construction and renovation going on.. and I dunno is it i old already or not, i have no mood to shop! Though there're quite a few shops that I used to be interested in.
Took bus to bedok 85.. and it kinda remind me of newton circus or some night outdoor hawker centre at amk.. and Avs ordered a lot of famous dishes for us :)
and before the food came, i received my first surprise present from my sweet boy :)
