Nothing has changed.
The feeling is still strong,
just like when we met.
The promises are still kept,
intact within our hearts.
Yet, something has grown.
We get to know each other better,
the path ahead is clearer,
and I am surer that you are the one.
It's a new beginning,
a better beginning,
from the day we vowed never to part.

がくせいきょうし
Promised pea i wanna show her moi classmates.
These pictures are taken during our Info-comm class. We have 107 students in our pri chi cohort, but we are further divided into smaller groups for our seminar/tutorial classes. Dunno why, for our first lesson, teacher wanted us to write our names and posed as a group for phototaking, like prison inmates.
Well, we are just grouped randomly according to how we sit that day, and we will not be doing projects together though..
Here's moi group:
There's me, and beside me, the guy in blue is JK. He's a msian whom had went to taiwan to study for 8 years, very funny uncle-clement type of guy. Beside JK, is SY. He really reminds me of the reporter/DJ type of guy. His pronounciation in chinese characters very pro, and dunno why, many ppl sabo him to become our class rep. I'm pretty impressed that his ex-job is an editor in the straits times life section. Very bilingual-elite. Below, the girl with long hair is SR. She is in my clique, along with YT and PS whom are both in another tutorial group, so i dun have their pics here. Beside SR, is FH. She is a very cute lady, but she is alr married with one child, and had alr taken her masters in EEE! She still looks very young and pretty lei.
This group, the 4 of them whom are standing are my project mates, along with FH, for most of my chi modules. From the top left, is FP. She is quite good in her fashion sense, cos sometimes i see her wearing those very taiwan or jap type of clothes. She didn't wear that nice that day la, ha. Beside her is HS, and she reminds me of those educated type of singaporean mummy. Beside HS is AL. She jus grad from NUS business, so she sometimes wear like business woman. Beside AL is QN, a msian girl, but she is alr married with a kid! She still looks young. Actually, i tink all except AL is married alr. Below, seated are two PRCs, the lady is called LL, and the guy is called JG. I think JG looks like 陈小春.
In this group, the guy who is standing is called Dn, a msian. He jus grad last year from nus too, but i dun really know him, but from his presentations in class, i tink he is those bubbly chi teacher that children will like. Seated, from left, the three girls, i dunno them very well, but i tink they are PRCs, except the centre one, a msian. The forth lady, she is currently pregnant, a PRC too, and she is in my group for this info comm module too. The last lady, she's a PRC, but erm, she can be friendlier i hope. My impression of her is that during her presentation, she is trying to teach china culture to sg kids.
The last group, i think they are mostly PRCs, the first, third, fifth and sixth one. The guy is singaporean, but he don't really sound singaporean. The first girl from the left jus grad from nus engine too. She is quite good and nice. As for the guy, i dun really know him, but he once stuttled very badly during presentation that SR tot he is short-tongued. The third lady is LQ, she's in two of my group projects too, and i quite like her though she is a prc. She's very demure lady and kind too. She has two children too. The next one i dunno her, and i just realised there's this person when i typed. The second last lady, she was asked to read a passage in lecture once, and she sound like those listening compre tape announcer. The last lady, she always wore dress with high heels.
So, most of us spend most of our days together, cos we are practically spending our entire week with the same group of people. Lectures, tutorials, seminars.. Still, it was fun in some aspects. I hope the project assignments can run smoothly.. Phew... Ten modules with 20 assignments due in october... ><

Fulfilling Weekend
Vin has started his work at Panasonic recently. We managed to meet up for dinner during a weekday at TampinesOne, and I remembered I was craving for cheese that day, so I messaged him this: "Vin, i want to eat something cheesy later!" when i was on board bus 168 to tampines.
We met outside Espirit, and while i was waiting for him, I looked up and I saw a shop called "Say Cheeze". I was so delighted. Wanted to eat cheese den suddenly got this say cheese shop. Poor vin had no choice to decide what else to eat, I dragged him to the "say cheeze" restaurant.
The restaurant was rather new, and there was not much people around. We chose a comfortable seat overlooking the ground floor of tampinesone, and we placed our order. I had teriyaki chicken baked rice, while vin had ocean curry baked rice.
with vin

The food was not bad, but I personally felt that the cheese is a bit too stiff, not like the usual western taste that i was expecting. Still, i managed to satisfy my cheese cravings, and we had this "Treblo" cheese cake for dessert:
Looks very nice, and I was rather delighted to see them spell the word out using chocolate :D
After the dinner, went to best denki to buy a hairstraightener. The usual price is $99 plus, but they are having a promotion now, $66 instead. Quite like the features of it, cos u can adjust the temperature, and so it can straighten any kind of hair, be it soft, middle or hard. The ceramic jade oso produces ions (as claimed by it), so it can give ur hair an extra shine after using it.

On Sat, vin and me went to the annual Sg Toy Games & Comic Convention at suntec city.
At the entrance of the exhibition, there is this board where many artists have came to draw on it. Someone actually draw a nude bull, and i think it was rather creative, lol.
and personally, i like this pic:
vin and the "why-so-serious" smile :D
Went in, and we were met with the wii section. Many people were trying out the latest wii games, and i saw this cute kid trying to play wii sports resort. I personally think children play games are cuter haha.
As usual, they are selling a lot of figurines. Big or small, but all quite ex. I still remembered how i wished to have a sailormoon figurine last time. It will also be good to have cardcaptor, negima's 31 girls, etc, etc XD
Many artists came to showcase their work here too. So, you can see many people brought their tablet pens and drawing softwares here to draw. I'm quite amazed on how they try to color each and every page of their comic. So patient!!
There are also some figurines of some newly introduced art figures. I think they weird weird de lei..
And, there's this Blythe doll's section. Very nice to see them showcasing like that, but also look quite scary too, if there isn't that much people around.
Many cosplayers too..

After the event, went to cash studios at cuppage centre to sing k. Long time nv sing k lo... I think it's not bad too, the quality and the ambience. First time I managed to sing 3 hrs without singing any mandarin songs. Mostly english and japanese... Fun k-session!
After k-ing, we went on to ps to have our dinner at the manhattan's fish market.
Quite a lot of people, so we were queueing up...
We shared this platter for two, and i really love the cheesy prawns, the fried mushrooms and the fish! the rice tasted very good too. It's cheaper than fish n co, and i think its taste has got better.
Really had a fun and fulfilling weekend, and i really enjoyed myself for the past two weeks. Tml, it will be the time to start getting serious, and really have to work liao... All my lessons are starting tml!! ahh!! A heavy week ahead.

Many new tries :)
I finally got my first try on Botak Jones. Always hear people say botak jones is good, but never had the chance to try. Now, I took my first try at the woodland's branch. I think most botak jones outlet hid themselves in the heartland of neighborhood kopitiams. So it's super inaccessible. Although i live in woodlands, we took nearly 45 mins to reach the place. HM live near that place, so good, he can visit BJ frequently.
This is what i ate:
something something fish and chips.
This is what vin ate:
something something cajun chicken with cheese
The portions are huge! and the price is cheap (like normal price of western food in kopitiam) too. Was looking at the menu of the stall, and it reminded me of a school project. It was printed on several pieces of colored paper, stapled at the middle with the papers folded into half. The menu is kinda wordy, because it not only writes the name of the dish, it also describes (in a self-approving tone), and filled with jokes and facts to fill the pages.
The food tasted very good too. Will definitely go back to eat again.
Yesterday, accompanied vin to komachi haircult's to have his haircut. He's starting work at panasonic next wed le, so need a new haircut. I was so pampered to finish my class at 10:30am, so we had a lot of time before and after his appointment at 3pm. So, we decided to watch two movies: G.I.Joe and Up.
Went to watch G.I.Joe at the cathay, and i wanted to eat shilin's o-a-mee sua. But that shilin stall closed down le! now change to something similar, but different name. I will still prefer shilin's. But still, it's quite nice la. Cannot 挑三拣四, cos no more time for a proper lunch elsewhere, and i have decided to eat o-a-mee-sua during lesson alr. XD
As for the movie, I will rate it about 3.5/5 stars, mostly because of its CG effects. I'm not a great fan of GIJ, but i think it is not really a bad movie if you prefer action movies. Just that the plot like very rushed at the end.
Went off to liang court for vin's haircut after the movie. Vin got his cut from Tsuji-san again, and this is the result:

I think it's very nice lei, and looks jap and genki~ we should learn how to style our hair.
After that, went to cine, and we bought the tickets for "Up". Had our dinner at KFC and I ate zinger burger. Just wondering, do people prefer KFC's zinger burger, or Mac's McSpicy? Cos recently, i prefer the taste of mcspicy lei.. maybe becos of the spiciness. Before the movie start, we went to ion orchard and strolled around the 360 market and planet traveller shops at lv4. Wa, the things there so ex, but really lemme 大开眼界la..
Went back to cine for the "Up" movie, and this is a very good movie!!! I rate it 5/5. Everyone must watch! I think the plot of the movie is very meaningful and it can make you reflect about your life and wonder what is true happiness. It's a very special movie by pixar, again. Pixar rocks, lol.

new school term
I'm so slack these weeks.
Although school has started for a week after one week's break, I only need to attend 3 days of lesson, and each lesson only last 2 hrs. This will last till next week :)
I'm quite lucky that this month i will only get to work/school 12 days~!
It's start of a new sem, and things are slightly different. I now am taking eng modules too. Education psychology, info comm for better teaching and service learning. The chinese modules haven start yet, but it will start very soon too. Till then, till then...
I suddenly miss my lessons being conducted in english. It's quite "funny" (i don't know a better word) to see the majority of the class struggling to speak in english. Also get to meet some new friends and people whom I never thought they will become teachers too. So, most have chose to come to nia.
The usual routine of reading textbooks, online assignments and self-introduction in class :)
Recently, i spent a lot. I think I shall stop spending before i got my next pay again :D
Till then, i'm going to rest at home :)

Birthday Week 09
26/7/09:
Family and I went to Tao's Restaurant for lunch. For lunch, we got a 6-course meal each, western cum oriental-styled. It's a very nice cosy restaurant, with very friendly guests whom make lame jokes that can triggle u to laugh. (some people can make lame jokes, but not funny XD)
Had a very fun time enjoying 6x4=24 dishes with my family :) The friendly staff of Tao's also gave me a free birthday ice-cream + muffin as a surprise, for free! (cos my mom asked bday got bday discount or not) The staff even stood by to "lead" my shy family to sing a bday song, lol.

Received a diamond bracelet from my family + grandma and aunt (dad's sis).
27/7/09:
Met up with AL and Pea at Ion Orchard for a lunch gathering :) We had our lunch at Aoba Hokkaido Ramen's. The restaurant deco was very fishing-styled, so much so got this huge king crab at the front of the shop.
Had a nice time catching up with Al and Pea, and each of us had a different flavor of ramen. Personally, I think the onsen egg was good, but other than that, it was very ex (for a singaporean-made ramen).

Received a set of presents from Al:
A birthday card,
a kangaroo mini "soft-toy" bookmark from australia,
and a piano no mori dvd.
Thanks to al for the presents and the treat.
After the lunch, went on to kinokuniya, as al and pea have books to find. Strolled around for a couple of hours, and al have to go home, while pea and me have to go meet the sec gang. The gang met at Tampopo restaurant, at liang court.
Tampopo is another restaurant that i had always wanted to try, cos they said it's good and very japanese styled.
Shared this salmon chirashi and unagi sushi with pea:

It's very nice! but a bit ex la.. i think the restaurant was more known for its pork dishes. Thanks to the gang for the treat :)
After the dinner, we headed on to tampopo deli, at the basement of liang court, and the gang bought me a bday cake :D
Banana chiffon cake: it had a very special spongy taste :)
Then, we head on to clarke quay for photo-taking..

and as it was quite late, we decided to take the yellow line home (serangoon? to bishan)
along the way, we snapped some pics too..
i hoped woodlands can have some mrt lines too, it's so ulu la....
28/7/09:
Birthday.
Mom made me some red eggs, and everyone has one of it, even pillow!
Pillow doing his new trick, "手", in order to receive his egg.
Met pea at cwp for lunch at jack's place. Pea had never ate at jack's place before, so we took the chance by having our lunch treat here.
pea had a new hair color, n i think this color is nicer :)
We had this lunch set, which includes a drink, soup, main course and dessert, for a reasonable price. Pea had beef set while i had fish.
The dessert: nice!
Recieved a very funny set of presents from pea:
Story 1:
(pea and seed had wanted to buy a clinique's pore serum since a month ago.)
On sunday (tao's restaurant day):
Seed: hey, u know i'm at swanston's now. here the clinique pore serum very cheap lei, u wan buy oso?
Pea: huh.... u buy alr?
S: ya, cos it's cheap.
P: y u buy?
S: huh? cos it's cheap wat.. u wan buy oso? i help u buy?
P: Y U BUY??!!!! U GO RETURN THE PRODUCT LA!
S: huh! u buy oso ah.. haha.. oops.. oh, u buy for me bday liao ah? haha
P:........
(first present revealed.)
Story 2:
(pea, seed and al are in aoba ramen's. seed wanted to show pea her new book she bought in kino a few days ago when she was at kino with vin)
S: hey u see! i bought this.
P: (flash seed a killing look of disgust)
S: huh? wat?
P: WHY YOU BUY??!!
S: huh!! u buy for me this oso ah??!!
P: ya la!! no surprise liao la.. u buy all..
S: aiyo! of all books in kino, why u buy this book for me! haha
P: u next time dun shop during july la!!
So, i have no "pleasant" surprise from pea this year, but had two "shocking" surprises from her whenever i showed her something i bought haha. Anw, real thanks to pea :) these two things are what i really liked :) and it must have cost u a bomb!
Remembered we went to iora to "redeem" a $50 voucher too.
During collection of the grad robes, girls are given this $50 iora voucher till the end of this month, with no minimum purchase. They give u this kind of voucher, then use la! since we are free, we went in and i found a skirt that i liked, but will not buy with my own money: a skirt costing $49.00.
I have tried to be nice to look at other kinds of products so that i dun really just exchange the voucher with something and leave, like i can still top up if possible. But the clothings are a bit too ex, and the design is not really my style. So, after one sales assistant tried her best in showing me around 15 clothes, she gave up when i still have no intention of giving in to her.
I was at the cashier counter, and this other lady came and she seemed hesitant to bill me cos I was there to take one piece of paper and exchange for a $49 skirt. She suggested that i took more time to look through other products, so that i dun waste the $1, and she left the cashier counter. Her attitude sucks too. So, i stayed firm and she finally came to serve me again, but with a very bu shuang look. In the end, i managed to exchange one piece of paper for a $49 skirt + one very nice recycled type of mesh bag. Really 赚到了.
If they dun wan to be bushuang in this kind of situation, den make a minimum purchase rule la! So not 大方 still wanna act 大方.
After meeting pea, met up with vin for a seoul garden buffet dinner. With popular card, can have a 1-for-1 dinner, so we took the chance to use this benefit. Long time nv eat seoul garden lo... and now, their pot is so beneath table level. It's hard to kiap the food.
The soup now tasted better as compared to last time.
Received a present from vin:
Digital photo frame and an SD card for the frame, and a korean styled bday card ~ :)
After the dinner, we went to strolled around a bit, and we went to starbuck's for dessert. Vin treated me this bday cake: cappuccino cheese cake~! quite a surprise that vin bought his own candles and "happy birthday" sign.
After the dinner, vin came to my house to try out the photo frame :) Thanks, vin!!
29/7/09:
Met up with my dearest sis at cwp's swensen's for a 1-for-1 lunch~ very worthy lei!
Had a very good chatting session with her :)
Received some prezzies from my sis too:
A very nice metal jewelery box,
inside, containing a pair of very shining, glittering crystal earrings:
and, a box of the body shop's gift set :)
Thanks mei mei :)
After the lunch, met up with pea and we went to watch "Ice Age 3". Very nice and lame movie though. I really love to watch animations and cartoons :)
After the movie, went to meet TY at her area, and we went to have dinner at a kopitiam near her house:

It's like quite famous for its crabs, but we didnt eat crabs. Instead, we have some prawn rolls, vege and 铁板豆腐.

I think it's quite nice!
After the dinner, went to TY's house to chat and watch youtube videos. It's a good catching up with her, before she went back to TW again.

30/07/09
Decided to give myself a bday present too: A new hairstyle!
Had always wanted to try how the salons are like in Japan. Since no money to go japan, went to a japanese hair salon in liang court: komachi haircult.
Had an appointment with a japanese hairstylist, yoshiko tsuji:
Wanted to dye my hair, and have a new haircut, so went to her. My first try with japanese hairstylists!
Tsuji-san wasn't very good with her eng, so tried to talk to her in jap to let her know what kind of hairstyle i wanted. She was very patient and friendly, so didn't feel uneasy with the process with her :) Had some small talks with her, and she said she came from Tokyo. I think she's very pretty lei!!
After coloring the hair, she helped me cut a rather special layered hair, and she helped me curl my hair too. I didn't have to suggest, and she just do what she think was suitable.
So, when i came out, i looked something like this:

Now me hair not curly anymore after my wash, but it somehow looked straighter after the cut! I think they must have magic scissors :D
First-timers got a 20% discount, so saved a lot of money too :)
Vin came too and he seemed to have a very good impression with the place too. If you want to try, can fix an appointment with them. (must fix appointment before going) The haircut for long haired girls, is $100. Compared to the actual japanese salons in japan, must be cheaper le :)
After the haircut, vin and me went to our favorite ramen restaurant: Marutama Ramen
it's much cheaper than aoba ramen's, and it is cooked by japanese :)
Went to kinokuniya again, and i saw this poster:
Seiran sai is coming again! This year, it will be at 20th Sep, which is around the time as last year.
I want to go! :)
Went to Meidiya's, and since it was evening, we got to buy the sushi at a large discount. So, had this row of salmon sashimi for dinner :)
Real thanks to all for celebrating moi bday! I really love the prezzies and 心意 :)
Holidays are ending today, and here comes the new sem tml~~~

In the end, i managed to exchange one piece of paper for a $49 skirt + one very nice recycled type of mesh bag. Really 赚到了.
If they dun wan to be bushuang in this kind of situation, den make a minimum purchase rule la! So not 大方 still wanna act 大方.
After meeting pea, met up with vin for a seoul garden buffet dinner. With popular card, can have a 1-for-1 dinner, so we took the chance to use this benefit. Long time nv eat seoul garden lo... and now, their pot is so beneath table level. It's hard to kiap the food.
Received a present from vin:
Digital photo frame and an SD card for the frame, and a korean styled bday card ~ :)
29/7/09:
Met up with my dearest sis at cwp's swensen's for a 1-for-1 lunch~ very worthy lei!
Received some prezzies from my sis too:
A very nice metal jewelery box,
After the lunch, met up with pea and we went to watch "Ice Age 3". Very nice and lame movie though. I really love to watch animations and cartoons :)
After the movie, went to meet TY at her area, and we went to have dinner at a kopitiam near her house:
After the dinner, went to TY's house to chat and watch youtube videos. It's a good catching up with her, before she went back to TW again.

My first try with japanese hairstylists!Tsuji-san wasn't very good with her eng, so tried to talk to her in jap to let her know what kind of hairstyle i wanted.
First-timers got a 20% discount, so saved a lot of money too :)
Vin came too and he seemed to have a very good impression with the place too. If you want to try, can fix an appointment with them. (must fix appointment before going) The haircut for long haired girls, is $100. Compared to the actual japanese salons in japan, must be cheaper le :)
After the haircut, vin and me went to our favorite ramen restaurant: Marutama Ramen
Went to kinokuniya again, and i saw this poster:
Seiran sai is coming again! This year, it will be at 20th Sep, which is around the time as last year.
I want to go! :)
Holidays are ending today, and here comes the new sem tml~~~
